Colby and Noah
Colby and Noah have earned their high blue belts in Tae Kwon Do. In addition to taking Tae Kwon Do, they have started taking cooking classes. They are both enjoying their classes and everything they have made so far tastes great. We are hoping that someday soon they will be cooking dinner or lunch for us (hint, hint!).
Colby is getting girl crazy. Yes, the teenage years are here. He knows all, he says all, and he is Colby (look at me). Noah still says girls
are yucky.
The whole neighborhood of boys has been heelying all over. It gets annoying in the stores, but it is the latest craze with the kids. Heelys are shoes with one wheel in each heel and you can skate with them. The boys have had a couple of spills, but nothing major.

The Family
Well, we just finished the Thanksgiving Holidays and it was busy around the DeMarche house. Tina's family was here and we were rolling people in and out of beds. Travis, who just moved to North Carolina, came in with girlfriend Corrine and her dog Honey on Friday, November 17th. Trent, (whom the family hasn't seen in over two years) came in on Saturday. Travis and Corrine left on Sunday and worked until Thanksgiving. Tina's Mom, Debbi and her husband Brian and their dog maggie came in Sunday when Travis and Corrine were leaving. Debbi and Brian left Tuesday. Tina's dad, Ken and his girlfriend Lori with Travis' dog Annie came in on Wednesday. Travis and Corrine came back for Thanksgiving, but had to leave so Corrine could fly home to see her family and Travis had to work. Travis came back Friday night after work. The guys spent the weekend helping out on the tree house. On Sunday everyone left to go back home and the house was once again quiet (normal quiet with three kids).
The uncles teased the kids and the dogs. In fact, Trent and Travis sent some of the neighborhood kids home crying. Travis gave our neighbor Ben a wedgie like you wouldn't believe. They were playing keep away from the kids and had two to three kids hanging all over them. Tina has the whole thing on video. They were like two kids. It was great seeing everyone. See the Family picture page for picture updates.
Mark really
appreciated everyone's help with the tree house. If it wasn't for you guys, it wouldn't be as far as it is now. Thank you!!!!!

The House
We are still waiting for our yard to get done. The people who did the side yard will not come back to do the rest of the yard. So we are again looking for someone to come out and make our yard look pretty. After some phone calls, Mark and Tina decided that they can do the side yard themselves. We got a plugger and some seeds and after a couple of weeks, we have grass, yes, green grass. Who needs a professional?!?!
In the mean time, Mark is building him and the boys a tree house. He has had a lot of help from Tina's brothers
Travis (who has built houses during his college years) and Trent. The tree house turned out to be a bigger project than Mark was thinking, but I'm sure the boys and their friends will have fun once it is finished. During Thanksgiving, he had help from Tina's family -including brothers Trent and Travis and her Dad. It is going up quickly and will be finished soon. There's still the roof shingles to be put up, the siding, the rest of the front porch (to finish up the wrap around effect), and of course the inside decorating. We have taken lots of pictures so be sure to check them out.
Mark and Tina
Mark got to take pictures for the Fall Festival for our Home Association. He was dressed like a photo journalist from the 1950's with a press pass badge and all. Some of the neighbors thought he was actually from the newspaper. The badge was great. Mark has been working an outage again, so the family doesn't get to see much of him.
Tina served as the Secretary for the Home Owner's Association for 10 days, that's when she realized some people just need to run the whole thing themselves.
She did make her first ever Thanksgiving turkey and it actually turned out great. We had all the fixings for our holiday feast and lots of family here with us!
Speedbump Updates
Ethan is growing like a weed and repeats everything he hears. He has already hit the terrible twos. Mark has him chanting "chocolate shake" as we are driving towards Sonic. Ethan even fusses at the brothers when they are in trouble and tells them they are bad. He is such a little blessing. Ethan has really started to enjoy coloring. We have included some of his artwork on Colby and Noah's artwork page.
